Over the past few weeks we were on the lookout for volunteers to join the District Team in specific roles and after an application/interview process, we are pleased to welcome the below people to the Team.
You’ll see the role which they have been appointed to, what they have said about their appointment along with a photo.
Aaron Ashbrook has been appointed as a Deputy DC
On his appointment, Aaron said “I am so grateful to have the opportunity too make a difference in helping to develop the next chapter, and support the young people and adult leaders of Warrington West District Scouts, in my role as Deputy District Commissioner”.
Martin Hill has been appointed as Social Media Manager
On his appointment, Martin said: “I’m looking forward to taking this new challenge on and to be working with the District Team and the groups around the District. Showcasing what Scouting does in and around the community by using the different social media platforms available.
Chris Williams has been appointed as ADC International
On his appointment, Chris said: “I am looking forward to working with the District Team in providing support and guidance to all Scouts in Warrington West that wish to experience Scouting on an international basis”.
Ian Cross, Alex Devers & Sean Hooper have been appointed as Joint ADC Activities
On his appointment, Ian said: “I look forward to working alongside the District and Activities Team to deliver and promote quality Adventurous Activities to Young People in Warrington West”.
On his appointment, Alex said: “I can’t wait to work with the team to create opportunities for Young People to do adventurous activities, whether this be through District events or Leaders using their Scout permit which we can help them to achieve”.
On his appointment, Sean said: “I’m excited to be a part of Warrington West, being Joint ADC Activities is a role I’m happy to undertake, working with Adam and the rest of the District Team is something that I am looking forward to”.

Adam Welch has been appointed as ADC Technology
On his appointment, Adam said: “I am delighted to be joining the District Team within Warrington West as ADC Technology to help modernise the District and Groups with the latest technologies allowing everyone who is involved with Scouting to have access to better opportunities and gain further #SkillsForLife and knowledge to thrive in the modern world. I have a passion for technology and I am looking forward to being able to use my skills and experience to fulfil the needs of the whole District”.

Denis Ward has been appointed as a Nights Away Advisor/Assessor
On his appointment, Denis said: “The position will be a great challenge, which I’m really looking forward to, and it will give me a great opportunity to pass on my knowledge and experience to other leaders, in order for them to gain their Nights Away Permit”.
